Shadow Day

Shadow Day matches college students interested in the sector with local nonprofit professionals for a day of learning and networking. The event allows undergraduate and graduate students to experience a workday in their desired profession, and helps students to develop a variety of connections in the nonprofit community. 

In 2015, over 140 students from 20 local colleges and universities participated in Shadow Day. You want to be a part of this event!

This year, Shadow Day is scheduled for Friday, October 7, 2016.

For Students

Are you a college student ready to change the world with a career in the nonprofit sector? Shadow Day gives you the ultimate head start! Shadow Day kicks off with a Networking Breakfast, and continues as students follow along their Host's workday at a nonprofit organization.

The best part? You get to pick your Nonprofit Host! After you have completed registration, you will receive an email with a link to select your top five choices for a Nonprofit Host. Every effort will be made to match each student with one of his/her top choices.

Shadow Day Schedule
  8:30 - 9:00 a.m.   Networking Breakfast
  9:00 - 10:00 a.m.   Young Nonprofit Professionals Panel
  10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.     Students experience a day in the life of a nonprofit professional.

Nonprofit Host Profiles

Students can select their top five choices for a Nonprofit Host. Every effort will be made to match each student with one of his/her top choices. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to select your Nonprofit Host. Some Hosts will take you to all different departments within the organization, so remember to consider both the Host's title and organization when selecting.
